This left Curse and TSM as the only remaining representatives for the old guard, the teams known as the "Top 4" teams who were said to be untouchable by the bottom 4 contenders. Not only are they rivals, but they are the top two teams in North America, creating a very exciting finals to be played this Sunday. The North American LCS was blown wide open during the final moments as favorites Dignitas and CLG were knocked out of the playoffs. This set up what most figured would be the NA LCS finals, TSM vs Cloud 9. This only set fire underneath TSM, as they went on to dominate the rest of the series, winning the next 3 games. On the other side of the bracket, Team Impact surprisingly took the first game of the series against TSM. Cloud 9, in the end, completed the 3 game reverse sweep, taking the series 3-2 over Team Liquid, eliminating them from the playoffs. They went on to win the next two games, bringing this matchup to an ultimate game 5. As game 3 began, Cloud 9 started to play like the team we know them for. Team Liquid started off by riding the momentum that brought them there, quickly picking up the first two games in the best of 5 series. On the other side of the bracket, Team Impact fought their way through the quarter finals to face NA powerhouse, and my favorite team, TSM. Team Liquid, who put on a dominant performance in the quarter finals were set to play the number 2 NA team, Cloud 9. Hats off to Unicorns Of Love, finishing 2nd in their first ever split in the LCS.Īs the NA LCS Playoffs continued, we were set for two great semi final matches. After snowballing that lead for the rest of the game, Fnatic went on to with the game, securing their 4th ever LCS Split Championship. Fnatic started the game strong, taking a fight at dragon that took out 4 of the 5 UOL players. With the final game of the series to come, both teams had one game between them and the EU LCS Spring Split Championship. With their championship hopes on the line, UOL played a very safe and normal comp, and steamrolled Fnatic, evening the series 2-2. Analyst favorites Fnatic did not lose confidence, winning the next two games in convincing fashion, bringing the series 2-1 in favor of Fnatic. UOL convincingly won the first game, starting off the series strong. UOL came out in the first game with mid laner Power Of Evil playing Varus, the only one to do this in the LCS ever. Unicorns of Love are very well known for their very unique play-style, taking champions into games that aren't seen very often. Today, the European LCS Finals concluded, with the best of 5 series between Fnatic and the up and coming team of Unicorns Of Love. Lets hope their dominance carries into the rest of the year, and of course, Worlds. TSM's year is looking very promising, after winning IEM Katowice and the Spring Split. They took control of the game from the very beginning, and snowballed the game perfectly, defeating C9 once again, and becoming the LCS Spring Split Champions. TSM was one game away from becoming the NA LCS Spring Split Champions, and they went into game 4 with a fire under them. ![]() To follow fashion, TSM won the next 2 games to bring the series to 2-1 in favor of themselves. TSM was not worried, each of their last 3 best of 5 series starting off with them losing the first game, and then winning the next 3. C9 jungler Meteos took the game in to his own control, hitting some incredible ults on Sejuani, snowballing the game out of control. The series started in a surprising manor, with C9 taking the opening match in convincing fashion. TSM is the reigning NA champions, and looked to defend that title against the only team that has ever been in the finals besides them, C9. Last Sunday, the NA LCS Finals arrived and we finally got to see the championship series between NA powerhouses and crowd favorites Team Solo Mid, and Cloud 9.
